The Role
- Lead, develop, and retain associate veterinarians across assigned hospitals, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
- Serve as the responsible veterinarian for applicable permits and oversee controlled-substance compliance in accordance with regulations
- Provide clinical oversight through medical record reviews, quality assessments, audits, and patient safety event reviews
- Coach and onboard newly hired veterinarians; support growth in clinical, surgical, and dental competencies
- Deliver client-facing veterinary care part of the week, balancing leadership duties with hands-on practice
- Partner with practice managers to uphold medical standards, streamline workflows, and achieve hospital KPIs and client satisfaction goals
- Recruit veterinary talent and build a strong leadership bench with clear succession planning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, including radiation safety and controlled substances
- Champion access to care and preventive medicine; guide timely resolution of client concerns
- Manage medical equipment needs and maintenance requests in partnership with leadership
- Full-time, hospital-based position

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical proficiency, including routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
- Leadership or mentorship experience with veterinarians or clinical teams preferred
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Comfort with medical record systems and data-driven quality review
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
