The Hospital
An established, AAHA-accredited, full-service general practice group seeks a collaborative leader for a multi-site role in the Kansas City area. The Role
Full-time, multi-site leadership position overseeing medical quality, doctor engagement, and operational outcomes across a group of general practices in the Kansas City area.
- Lead, mentor, and develop associate veterinarians to deliver consistent, high-quality, client-centered care
- Serve as a working manager, providing clinical care part of the week while modeling best practices in medicine and service
- Partner with practice management to foster an inclusive, collaborative culture and to achieve hospital performance goals
- Conduct medical record reviews, quality assessments, and patient safety reviews; coach teams to close gaps and elevate standards
- Oversee onboarding and coaching for newly hired veterinarians to build confidence in clinical, surgical, and dental skills
- Recruit, interview, and nurture a pipeline of veterinary talent; support student externs and candidates during hospital experiences
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and radiation safety
- Manage medical equipment planning and maintenance in partnership with regional leadership
- Address client concerns related to medical care with professionalism and timely resolution
- Build succession plans and develop future leaders within the hospitals

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice (or immediate eligibility for licensure) in Missouri
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven clinical proficiency, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability; multi-site experience preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-facing, retail-based clinical environment
- Proficiency with practice software and digital medical records
