The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based working leader responsible for medical standards, doctor engagement, and patient care across assigned local hospitals.
- Provide hands-on mentorship and onboarding for veterinarians, including development of clinical, surgical, and dental skills.
- Split time between leadership duties and direct patient care, including wellness services, dentistry, routine surgeries, imaging, and in-house diagnostics.
- Partner with practice management to deliver high-quality medicine, strong client experience, and operational goals.
- Oversee medical record quality, case reviews, and patient safety practices; resolve escalated client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations and other applicable state and federal requirements.
- Support recruitment efforts and serve as an ambassador within the local veterinary community.
- Manage clinical equipment needs and inventory in coordination with leadership.
- Schedule includes weekday days with some Saturday coverage.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and strong knowledge of controlled substance compliance
- Solid proficiency in general practice, dentistry, and routine surgery
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on coaching and team development
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; comfort with practice software
- Commitment to high-quality, client-centered care
- Ability to travel between assigned local hospitals as needed
