The Role
- Provide medical leadership across assigned hospitals while maintaining a clinical caseload as a working manager
- Lead, mentor, and develop associate veterinarians; oversee onboarding and ongoing coaching to build clinical, surgical, and dental competencies
- Partner with practice leadership to uphold medical standards, protocols, and a strong, inclusive team culture
- Conduct medical record reviews and quality assessments; identify gaps and implement action plans
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substance management and radiation safety
- Support recruiting efforts and serve as a positive clinical ambassador in the local veterinary community
- Drive patient-centered care, operational goals, and client experience through collaboration and proactive problem-solving
- Address complex client concerns related to medical care with professionalism and empathy
- Manage and prioritize medical equipment needs in partnership with leadership
- Full-time, hospital-based position

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop veterinarians
- Competence in general surgery and dentistry using standard instruments and equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to regulatory compliance, safety, and high-quality, client-centered care
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and related practice software
