The Role
- Provide medical leadership across assigned hospitals while remaining a hospital-based, working manager
- Coach, mentor, and develop associate veterinarians, fostering engagement, retention, and a collaborative culture
- Ensure consistent delivery of safe, effective, timely, efficient, and patient-centered veterinary care
- Oversee onboarding and experiential training for newly hired veterinarians in preventive care, dentistry, surgery, and workflow
- Conduct medical record reviews and quality audits; identify gaps and implement timely improvement plans
- Partner with practice management to drive hospital performance and achieve clinical and operational goals
- Uphold regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and radiation safety requirements
- Serve as Responsible Veterinarian for applicable permits and controlled substances oversight as required
- Contribute to recruiting efforts and provide an excellent experience for candidates and student externs
- Lead client-service excellence, including resolution of medical-standard concerns and promotion of access to care
- Deliver clinical care as needed, including wellness services, routine surgery, dental procedures, and case management supported by in-clinic diagnostics and dental radiography
- Manage medical equipment needs and requests in partnership with regional leadership
- Full-time position

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility for DEA registration
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proven capability in routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Comfort with medical record review, quality initiatives, and compliance standards
- Proficiency with computer-based medical records and practice software
