The Hospital

The hospital environment is welcoming and client-facing, supported by experienced veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. Services include preventive and wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, routine surgery, digital radiology, microchipping, and access to an in-clinic and online pharmacy. The clinic operates Monday through Saturday during daytime hours, with structured onboarding, ongoing career development resources, and practical tools that streamline patient care.

Set in Huntington Beach, CA, this role places the successful candidate in a lively coastal city known for beach life, outdoor recreation, and easy regional access.

The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based, multi-site leadership position
- Provide medical leadership to veterinarians and credentialed support teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture
- Lead clinical quality initiatives, including medical record reviews, case discussions, and patient safety checks
- Serve as the responsible veterinarian for regulatory permits as needed; oversee controlled substance compliance
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor doctors; guide coaching programs for new graduates and support learners in-clinic
- Partner with practice management to deliver hospital performance goals while upholding high standards of care
- Maintain a clinical caseload in general practice, including wellness care, dentistry, routine surgery, and diagnostics
- Manage medical equipment needs and maintenance planning across assigned hospitals
- Champion preventive care and consistently enhance the client experience
- Schedule aligned to hospital operating hours, generally Monday through Saturday

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain promptly)
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated proficiency in routine surgery and dentistry
- Prior leadership experience; multi-site medical leadership preferred
- Strong clinical governance, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with digital radiology and general practice workflows
- Valid driver license and ability to travel between local hospitals as needed
- Eligibility to work in the United States
