The Role
- Lead, coach and develop associate veterinarians across assigned local hospital(s), fostering an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide clinical guidance and validate quality of care through medical record reviews, case discussions and targeted coaching.
- Partner with on-site leadership to meet medical and operational goals while maintaining excellent client service.
- Recruit, onboard and mentor new doctors; ensure effective experiential learning in core clinical, surgical and dental skills.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substance management and radiation safety.
- Support equipment and supply planning to meet medical needs and uphold hospital standards.
- Serve as a working clinician, allocating time between leadership duties and direct patient care based on local needs.
- Assist with client escalations related to medical standards of care and promote a culture of preventive medicine.
- Full-time, hospital-based position with weekday and weekend coverage aligned to hospital hours.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proven proficiency in general practice, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strengths in coaching, communication and change management
- Comfortable using veterinary practice software and electronic medical records
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
