The Role
Full-time, hospital-based leadership and clinical role guiding medical quality, mentoring doctors, and partnering with operations leaders to deliver excellent outcomes across assigned hospitals.
- Lead, coach, and develop associate veterinarians; cultivate a supportive, inclusive culture
- Oversee onboarding and skills development in clinical, surgical, and dental domains
- Ensure consistent medical standards through medical record reviews, quality assessments, and patient safety evaluations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including controlled substances stewardship and radiation safety
- Partner with practice leadership to achieve hospital goals and service-quality metrics
- Contribute to recruiting efforts and provide an excellent experience for externs and candidates
- Address escalated client concerns related to standards of care with professionalism and empathy
- Manage medical equipment needs and inventory planning
- Provide direct patient care; proportion of clinical time will vary based on hospital needs

Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited institution
- Active Oregon veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain before start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proficiency in general practice medicine, routine surgery, and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication and team-mentoring skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-centered environment
