Global Talent Partners is proud to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position with a well-established practice in Eastland, Texas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to combine hands-on clinical medicine with leadership, mentorship and practice development. You'll have the opportunity to work across companion animal, livestock, equine and select exotic cases while helping guide medical standards and support the continued growth of the hospital.

With a predictable Monday-Friday schedule and no routine weekend hours, the position also provides an excellent balance between clinical leadership and life outside of work.

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll continue practicing medicine and maintaining direct relationships with clients and patients.

Clinical Responsibilities

The position provides excellent variety for a veterinarian who enjoys mixed animal practice.

Your clinical responsibilities will include:

•Providing preventative and medical care for companion animals
•Managing livestock and equine cases
•Seeing selected exotic species
•Performing soft tissue surgery
•Providing dentistry
•Managing selected orthopedic cases
•Utilizing radiography, ultrasound and laboratory diagnostics
•Providing same-day urgent care during business hours
•Managing chronic and complex medical cases
•Performing ambulatory and farm calls
•Supporting herd-health programs and testing
•Providing client education and preventative healthcare planning

The practice operates established protocols for cases arising outside normal business hours, while routine weekend work is not required.

Requirements

•DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary qualification
•Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain
•Eligibility to work in the United States
•Experience in small animal or mixed animal veterinary medicine
•Competency across general medicine, surgery and dentistry
•Strong communication and client relationship skills
•Interest in clinical leadership and mentoring
•Collaborative and team-focused approach

Previous Medical Director experience would be advantageous, although an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership qualities and the ambition to progress into clinical leadership would also be considered.
