The team works in a modernized treatment area and refreshed dental suite, supported by on-site diagnostic imaging, an in-house laboratory, a general surgery suite, dental capabilities, an in-house pharmacy, and basic oxygen/critical care support. The hospital is set up for efficient, client-friendly operations with online booking plus phone/text access, is actively welcoming new patients, and maintains weekday daytime and Saturday hours with a brief Saturday lunch closure. The Role
- Provide medical leadership and uphold high standards of patient care across the hospital
- Mentor, coach, and develop veterinarians and clinical teams; foster a collaborative, positive culture
- Deliver clinical care including comprehensive exams, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry
- Communicate clearly with clients to guide diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure controlled substance compliance
- Partner with hospital leadership on protocols, workflow, staff scheduling, and quality assurance
- Share responsibility for hospital performance, budgeting awareness, and operational goals
- Support daily rounds, monitor hospitalized cases, and promote efficiency across the team

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in California
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- 1+ year of clinical experience; strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
- Proven leadership aptitude, excellent communication, and a team-first mindset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of clinical practice, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Preferred: familiarity with veterinary practice management software; bilingual skills are a plus
