The Role
- Provide emergency and urgent care for small animal patients, including triage, stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment
- Manage ICU-level care with access to advanced monitoring and life-support tools
- Collaborate closely with specialty services for diagnostics, procedures, and ongoing case management
- Perform common emergency procedures and minor emergent surgeries as appropriate
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and referring veterinarians
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture and support the development of interns/assistants/technicians as needed
- Shift-based relief scheduling; overnight and weekend availability is highly valued

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Texas (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Experience in emergency medicine strongly preferred; internship training or equivalent ER experience desirable
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural competency, and effective client communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty environment
