The Role
- Deliver high-quality medical, surgical (soft tissue and select orthopedics), dental, and preventive care
- Manage a varied caseload across dogs, cats, and small/exotic pets as appropriate
- Utilize in-house diagnostics, imaging, and pharmacy to guide timely treatment plans
- Provide urgent and same-day care during extended hours alongside a trained support team
- Perform anesthetic procedures and dentistry with appropriate monitoring and pain management
- Communicate clearly with clients to educate, set expectations, and support long-term pet health
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases and refer to specialty therapies when indicated
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols and accreditation standards
- Participate in rotating Saturday shifts and select evening coverage consistent with hospital hours

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Utah, or eligibility to obtain
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills; comfort with dentistry
- Interest in exotics a plus but not required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-service skills
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and continuous improvement
