The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality small-animal medicine across wellness, preventive, and internal medicine cases.
- Performing general soft-tissue surgery and selected orthopedic procedures, as skills and interests allow.
- Providing dental care and patient-focused anesthetic and pain management plans.
- Utilizing digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, and in-house laboratory resources to guide diagnostics and treatment.
- Collaborating closely with RVTs and the wider support team to ensure efficient, compassionate care.
- Communicating clearly with clients, providing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Contributing to a Fear Free, team-centered culture and supporting continuity of care with boarding and grooming teams when appropriate.
- Participating in established referral pathways for specialty and emergency cases as needed.
  
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to AAHA-level standards and Fear Free handling
- All experience levels considered; mentorship available
