The Role
- Provide high-quality general practice care, including preventive medicine, wellness exams, and medical workups supported by in-house diagnostics and imaging
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, with access to advanced surgical teams for referral-level procedures
- Collaborate closely with specialty and emergency teams for comprehensive case management
- Maintain thorough medical records and deliver clear, empathetic client communication
- Support a culture of quality, safety, and adherence to AAHA-level protocols
- Schedule designed around locum availability; weekend or evening coverage may be included based on hospital needs

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in the State of New York (or eligibility and willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) for controlled substances, as applicable
- Competence in routine general practice medicine, surgery, and dentistry; comfort collaborating within a multi-specialty setting
- Strong communication skills and commitment to compassionate, client-centered care
