The Hospital
This is a purpose-designed, approximately 10,000 sq ft small-animal hospital offering a welcoming, low-stress environment supported by Fear-Free principles. The practice is open six days per week (with short Saturday hours), enabling predictable scheduling and steady workflow. A full suite of services includes preventive care, medical and surgical care, and boarding, supported by:
- Surgical suites, isolation spaces, and quiet recovery areas designed for patient comfort and efficient care
- In-house laboratory and pharmacy for fast diagnostics and streamlined dispensing
- Standard diagnostic and monitoring equipment such as radiography and patient monitoring tools
- An efficient, client-focused approach with same-day appointments, online scheduling, automated reminders, and financing options

The Role
- Lead day-to-day hospital operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and client-centered experience
- Build, coach, and supervise support teams; lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Manage scheduling, workforce planning, and timekeeping oversight while meeting labor goals
- Partner with veterinarian leadership to uphold high-quality patient care, excellent customer service, and a strong culture of accountability
- Oversee budgets, purchasing, vendor relationships, invoice processing, and facility maintenance
- Maintain accurate local accounting, charge capture, and billing practices; ensure rigorous inventory control and documentation
- Develop and refine SOPs; ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and licensure records
- Resolve client concerns professionally and reinforce a compassionate, service-first approach
- Weekend/holiday availability as needed; ability to work around animals and in a clinical environment

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health science, or related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 5 years of office management experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice-management or related software
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Comfortable working around animals, cleaning agents, and medical materials; able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Flexible scheduling, including some weekends and holidays
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Idaho licensure or credentials as applicable to the role (no clinical license required for hospital management; candidates holding professional certifications should meet Idaho requirements)
