The Role
- Lead operations across nearby companion-animal sites in the Norwalk area, ensuring consistent standards and an excellent client experience
- Build and coach high-performing support teams; recruit, onboard, train, and conduct performance reviews
- Oversee scheduling, workforce management, and labor optimization to hit service and productivity targets
- Manage budgets, purchasing, and inventory; ensure accurate daily financials, charge capture, and billing integrity
- Maintain compliance, safety protocols, and facility upkeep; support documentation and policy development
- Partner closely with veterinarians and on-site leadership to streamline workflows, elevate medical support services, and improve operational KPIs
- Serve as an escalation point for client concerns, modeling empathetic, solutions-focused communication
- Support daytime urgent care operations with a clear after-hours referral pathway
- Collaborate on marketing, community outreach, and initiatives that strengthen reputation and client loyalty
- Schedule includes some weekends and holidays to support business needs

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field strongly preferred
- At least 5 years of office or practice management experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and change-management skills
- Strong financial acumen, analytical ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice software
- Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized with effective time management
- Comfortable working around animals and clinical environments; able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Applicable professional licensure in Connecticut where relevant to the candidate’s background
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Preferred: CVPM or MHA; experience in veterinary or healthcare operations
