The Role
- Provide operational leadership across two small-animal hospitals in the Ossining area, building high-performing, client-focused teams
- Partner closely with veterinarians and department leads to uphold clinical quality, client service, and a culture of accountability
- Recruit, onboard, and train support staff; manage scheduling, timekeeping, and labor goals
- Coach teams through regular feedback and performance reviews; resolve employee relations issues; champion safety and compliance
- Oversee budgeting, P&L insights, purchasing, vendor relations, and facility maintenance
- Manage inventory controls, billing accuracy, charge capture, daily reconciliation, and local accounting processes
- Track KPIs, streamline workflows, and implement SOPs to improve consistency across sites
- Support timely, empathetic client issue resolution and contribute to community outreach and marketing initiatives

Requirements
- License to practice in New York
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum five years of office or operations management, including at least two years of supervisory experience; veterinary or medical setting preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice-management software
- Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and planning skills
- Flexibility to work some weekends or holidays as needed
- Comfortable working around animals and veterinary materials; able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for portions of the day
