The Role
- The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality primary care for dogs and cats, including wellness, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.
- They will perform dental procedures (from prophylaxis to extractions) and manage anesthesia and multimodal pain control.
- They will utilize digital radiography, dental imaging, ultrasound, and in-house lab testing to diagnose and guide treatment plans.
- They will work with an experienced support team at an approximate 2:1 ratio, with a typical daily caseload in the mid-teens.
- They will communicate clearly with clients, educate on treatment options, and build long-term relationships.
- They will assist with same-day/urgent cases as needed and participate in limited Saturday coverage.
- They will maintain accurate medical records and uphold best-practice standards.
- They will engage in a collaborative, learning-focused culture, offering or receiving mentorship as appropriate.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in California (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and a client-centered approach to care
