Veterinarian

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for a Veterinarian to join a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Havelock, North Carolina.

Offering a salary of up to $155,000, this position combines a manageable caseload, strong technical support and excellent clinical resources with the opportunity to develop across medicine, surgery, dentistry and diagnostics. New graduates are also encouraged to apply, with mentorship and professional development available.

About the Practice

This long-established companion animal hospital has built a strong reputation within the local community for providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.

The hospital operates as a full-service general practice, offering:
•Wellness and preventative medicine
•Internal medicine
•Dentistry
•Soft tissue surgery
•Digital diagnostic imaging
•Ultrasound
•In-house diagnostics
•Laser therapy
•Same-day urgent and illness appointments
•Pharmacy services
•Optional exotic-pet medicine
•Veterinary-supervised boarding
•Grooming services

Doctors are supported by an experienced veterinary team, with recent staffing levels indicating approximately a 2:1 support staff-to-doctor ratio. This structure helps veterinarians spend more of their time practicing medicine rather than being pulled into tasks that can be effectively handled by the wider team.

Typical caseloads are approximately 16 patients per veterinarian per day, creating a busy but manageable working environment with time to provide individualized care and communicate properly with clients.
The hospital also works with visiting specialists, including support for areas such as orthopedics and advanced ultrasound, giving doctors additional resources when managing more complex cases.

The Opportunity

You'll have the freedom to practice a broad range of small animal medicine while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team.
The role includes preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics and management of same-day sick and urgent cases. Veterinarians with an interest in exotic medicine can also gain exposure to exotic-pet cases if desired.
The practice places a strong emphasis on professional development and is open to veterinarians at different stages of their careers. Experienced doctors can benefit from clinical autonomy and a varied caseload, while new graduates are welcomed and supported through mentorship and ongoing development.

Scheduling is designed with work-life balance in mind, with a predominantly predictable weekday structure and only limited weekend or holiday coverage as scheduled.
