The Role
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across five hospital locations while being primarily stationed at a designated home hospital in Charlotte
- Coach and develop Hospital Managers; build high-performing, engaged teams
- Drive growth and manage costs across labor, inventory, and other controllable expenses
- Track and act on KPIs, budgets, and financial results; implement corrective plans when needed
- Partner with veterinarians and hospital leaders to ensure operational efficiency and excellent client service without compromising patient care
- Lead onboarding and performance stabilization for newly opened or acquired locations
- Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, overtime management, and staffing strategies
- Support recruiting, hiring, training, retention, and succession planning for leadership and key roles
- Conduct performance reviews and address personnel matters in partnership with HR
- Strengthen culture, communication, and collaboration across all teams
- Ensure consistent inventory controls, facility upkeep, and planning for capital improvements
- Assist with escalated client or patient concerns as appropriate
- Accountable for achieving assigned operational and financial goals

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of multi-site or senior practice/hospital management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Background in veterinary, healthcare, or service-based multi-unit operations strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strength in financial management, KPI ownership, workforce planning, and change leadership
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to build trust across clinical and non-clinical teams
- Willingness to travel between local sites as needed
- License to practice in North Carolina, where applicable to the candidate’s profession
- Eligibility to work in the United States
