The Role
- Lead day-to-day hospital operations and all non-clinical teams (client service, assistants, technicians in partnership with medical leadership).
- Recruit, onboard, train, and coach staff; deliver clear feedback and performance management.
- Build labor-efficient schedules aligned with patient demand and service standards.
- Own budgeting and financial performance: forecasting, expense control, billing accuracy, and accounts receivable oversight.
- Elevate client experience standards; respond to reviews and implement service improvements.
- Oversee inventory, vendor relations, equipment maintenance, and facility presentation.
- Maintain compliance with veterinary regulations, OSHA workplace safety, and accurate, confidential records.
- Drive marketing, digital presence, community outreach, and events to grow and retain the client base.
- Optimize practice software usage; partner with IT to resolve technology needs.
- Collaborate with medical leadership on quality, workflow efficiency, and KPI goals.
- Support occasional evening or weekend operations based on patient and client needs.

Requirements
- 3–5 years of management experience in veterinary, healthcare, or a similar service environment
- Demonstrated financial acumen (P&L management, KPIs, budgeting)
- Strength in hiring, coaching, scheduling, and building positive, collaborative teams
- Excellent client service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting; able to handle routine physical tasks as needed
- Proficiency with practice management software and standard office tools
- Preferred: CVPM, CVBL, or a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field
- Oregon license to practice (if applying as a clinician); not required for this non-clinical management role
- Eligibility to work in the United States
