The Role
- Part-time schedule within a collaborative small-animal setting
- Provide high-quality preventive and general care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Perform routine procedures such as spay/neuter and dental care; support microchipping and parasite prevention
- Interpret in-house laboratory results and digital radiographs to inform timely medical decisions
- Prescribe and manage medications through the on-site pharmacy
- Communicate with clients to educate, build trust, and ensure positive experiences
- Maintain thorough medical records and uphold practice protocols and standards
- Partner closely with technicians, assistants, and client service staff to deliver efficient, compassionate care

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey, or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and state controlled substance authorization, as applicable
- Strong commitment to preventive medicine, client communication, and team collaboration
- Ability to support a part-time schedule that may include some weekend hours
