About the Practice

This established companion animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, combining preventative medicine with diagnostics, surgery, dentistry and more advanced treatment options.

The hospital maintains AAHA accreditation and incorporates low-stress and Fear Free techniques into patient care, with particular attention given to creating a calmer experience for feline patients.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Veterinarian, you'll manage a varied small animal caseload ranging from routine preventative appointments to more involved medical, dental and surgical cases.

Responsibilities will include:

•Providing comprehensive wellness examinations
•Diagnosing and treating medical conditions
•Developing individualized treatment plans
•Performing routine soft tissue surgery
•Providing dental care
•Managing chronic and senior pet conditions
•Providing pain management
•Utilizing therapeutic laser and regenerative treatment options where appropriate
•Educating clients on preventative healthcare and treatment options
•Maintaining accurate medical records
•Collaborating closely with technicians and support staff
•Contributing to the hospital's AAHA clinical standards
•Practicing low-stress and Fear Free patient handling

The varied caseload provides excellent scope to develop interests in areas such as surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management or preventative care.

Requirements
•Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
•Oklahoma veterinary license or eligibility to obtain
•Eligibility to work in the United States
