This position offers a varied clinical caseload, strong technical support, and access to modern diagnostic and rehabilitation capabilities within a well-equipped, high-quality practice.

You'll work alongside experienced veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and dedicated support professionals in a collaborative environment that prioritizes clinical excellence, efficient patient care, and outstanding client communication.

About the Practice

This established small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse urban client base, combining preventative medicine with internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, rehabilitation and same-day urgent care.

The hospital offers a broad range of services, including:

•Wellness and preventative medicine
•Comprehensive physical examinations
•Vaccinations and parasite prevention
•Internal medicine
•Chronic disease management
•Same-day urgent care
•Dentistry and oral healthcare
•General and soft tissue surgery
•Diagnostic imaging
•Ultrasound-capable diagnostics
•In-house laboratory testing
•Rehabilitation
•Pain management
•In-house pharmacy services
•Client education and preventative healthcare planning

The practice is designed to provide excellent continuity of care, with many diagnostics, treatments and medications available directly within the hospital.

The veterinary team includes experienced doctors, licensed veterinary technicians, and dedicated support staff who work together to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of care. Doctors are encouraged to collaborate on cases, take part in clinical discussions, and develop their individual areas of interest, with mentorship and continuing education support available to promote long-term professional growth.

The hospital serves a diverse New York City community, with both English and Spanish spoken within the practice and a strong emphasis on clear, compassionate communication with pet owners. It operates six days per week with flexible scheduling and shared Saturday coverage, helping to balance client access with veterinarian work-life balance.

The Opportunity

You'll manage a varied small animal caseload covering preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, rehabilitation and same-day urgent presentations.

Responsibilities will include:

•Providing comprehensive wellness and preventative care
•Diagnosing and managing medical conditions
•Developing individualized treatment plans
•Managing same-day urgent cases
•Performing general and soft tissue surgery
•Providing comprehensive dental care
•Utilizing in-house laboratory and diagnostic imaging
•Incorporating ultrasound diagnostics where appropriate
•Managing anesthesia and perioperative patient care
•Collaborating with rehabilitation services on appropriate cases
•Providing clear client education and communication
•Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
•Participating in case reviews and clinical discussions
•Collaborating closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
