The Role
- Provide convenient, in-home veterinary care for dogs and cats through several daily appointments.
- Deliver wellness and sick visits, vaccinations, diagnostic sampling (blood, urine), and fine needle aspirates.
- Perform minor procedures such as small lump removals, basic wound care and suturing, and nail trims.
- Offer compassionate end-of-life care in the home when requested.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate test results and treatment options promptly.
- Emphasize safety and low-stress handling while guiding owners who may assist with restraint.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the hospital team for advanced imaging, specialty consults, or emergency support when cases require it.
- Manage time and routing efficiently while adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements
- DVM (or equivalent) with eligibility for licensure and good standing with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Minimum 2 years of small-animal clinical experience.
- Comfortable driving throughout Calgary; reliable vehicle and clean driving record.
- Confident working independently with strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments, including anxious or reactive patients.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and client education abilities.
- Strong medical record-keeping and follow-up discipline.
- Proficiency in the in-home procedures and services outlined above.
