The Hospital
This full-service small animal hospital serves a loyal community with a broad range of services and a supportive, collaborative culture.
- Comprehensive care spanning preventive medicine, internal medicine, dentistry (including dental radiography), and routine to advanced soft tissue surgeries
- On-site diagnostics and treatment tools: digital radiography, dental x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy/video otoscopy, in-house laboratory, and an in-house pharmacy
- Surgery suite equipped with a surgical laser, advanced anesthetic monitoring, computerized anesthesia, and therapeutic laser therapy
- Team-based model with credentialed technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service support to optimize case flow and patient care
- Additional client services include grooming and climate-controlled boarding
- Emphasis on low-stress handling, excellent client communication, and a fast-paced, varied caseload that supports professional growth
- Typical hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; closed Sunday

The Role
- Deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats across wellness, illness, and urgent needs
- Perform and interpret diagnostics including digital radiography, dental imaging, ultrasound, endoscopy/video otoscopy, and in-house lab tests
- Plan and monitor anesthesia; perform soft tissue surgery and dentistry, including extractions
- Create thorough treatment plans and provide clear, compassionate client communication and education
- Collaborate with credentialed technicians and assistants; contribute to a culture of mentorship, learning, and teamwork
- Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient case flow
- Schedule includes daytime hours with rotating Saturday coverage; no Sunday hours

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent)
- License to practice veterinary medicine in California, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
