The Role
- Perform comprehensive wellness and medical examinations, form treatment plans, and manage follow-up care
- Communicate clearly with clients to educate and guide decisions
- Conduct diagnostics and perform general surgery and dentistry as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled-substance protocols
- Partner with hospital leadership to refine workflows, uphold standards, and support team efficiency
- Monitor in-hospital cases and participate in case discussions or rounds
- Contribute to ongoing practice improvements and training initiatives
- Additional responsibilities as needed to ensure high-quality patient and client experiences

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current New York veterinary license (or ability to obtain promptly)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to secure)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong medical, surgical, and dental skills; excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Experience with small animals required; interest in exotics is welcome but not essential
