The Role
As the Locum Veterinarian, the doctor will deliver high-quality small-animal care while partnering closely with skilled technicians and client service staff.
- Provide primary and preventive care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and senior pet care
- Perform and interpret in-house diagnostic testing and routine radiology/x-rays
- Conduct routine soft-tissue surgeries (such as spays/neuters and mass removals), based on comfort and experience
- Oversee hospitalized patients, utilize isolation protocols as indicated, and ensure continuity of care
- Develop clear treatment plans, communicate effectively with clients, and document thoroughly
- Contribute to a positive team culture and help optimize clinical workflows
- Typical daytime schedule with limited Saturdays; no Sundays

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and commitment to teamwork; prior small-animal experience preferred
