Veterinarian

A thriving small animal hospital in Callander, ON is actively seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join their skilled and friendly team. With a strong support structure in place and a focus on providing a healthy work-life balance, this clinic is perfect for a DVM with at least one year of clinical experience looking to grow in a collaborative and well-equipped environment.

The Role

You'll be joining a practice where 23 DVMs work per shift, supported by 6 RVTs, 3 receptionists, and 3 veterinary assistants. Whether you're in appointments, surgery, or dentistry, there's always a capable team beside you including dedicated RVT and tech assistant support. Appointments are 20 minutes long, with a full 1-hour lunch break each day.

This is a full-time position with options for a 4- or 5-day workweek, and no evenings or weekends required.


What's Offered

Salary Range: $125,000$135,000+ (flexible based on experience)

Bonuses:

  • Up to $20,000 retention/relocation bonus
  • Open to production bonus structure

Vacation & Time Off:

  • 3 weeks paid vacation to start
  • 80 hours of sick leave annually (50% paid out if unused)

What They're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in appointments, surgery, and dentistry
  • Able to work independently with DVMs on site for collaboration

About the Clinic

This is a 4-exam room facility (including a comfort room), fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, and all the tools needed to provide excellent small animal care. While not Fear Free certified, the team practices low-stress handling wherever possible. The hospital is independently owned and managed with a team of experienced DVMs including graduates from OVC 1985, 2002, and 2021.
