Veterinarian Medical Director

Global Talent Partners is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position with a well-established companion animal hospital on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to combine clinical practice with meaningful leadership responsibilities. You'll continue practicing medicine while helping guide clinical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians and work alongside hospital management to support the continued development of the practice.

With a collaborative team, established client base and a Monday through Friday schedule, this position offers an attractive combination of career progression, earning potential and work-life balance.

About the Practice

This established small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine, client education and developing long-term relationships with pet owners.

The hospital offers a broad range of services, including:

•Wellness and preventative medicine
•Comprehensive physical examinations
•Vaccinations and parasite prevention
•Internal medicine
•Chronic disease management
•Soft tissue surgery
•Dentistry and oral healthcare
•Digital diagnostic imaging
•In-house laboratory testing
•Diagnostic workups
•Senior pet care
•Pain management
•Client education and preventative healthcare planning

The hospital provides veterinarians with the diagnostic and clinical resources needed to manage a varied primary care caseload while maintaining high standards of patient care.

The practice operates Monday through Friday with no routine weekend opening hours, providing a schedule that is increasingly difficult to find within veterinary medicine.

The Medical Director Opportunity

As Medical Director, you'll maintain an active clinical caseload while taking responsibility for the medical direction and standards of the hospital.

Working closely with the Practice Manager and veterinary team, you'll help create an environment where doctors and support staff can perform at their best while ensuring consistently high standards of medicine.

Key responsibilities will include:

•Providing clinical leadership across the hospital
•Maintaining and developing medical standards and protocols
•Mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians
•Encouraging collaboration and case discussion
•Supporting veterinarian development and performance
•Working alongside the Practice Manager on hospital objectives
•Identifying opportunities for continued practice growth
•Supporting recruitment and team development
•Promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture
•Maintaining exceptional standards of patient and client care
•Helping implement clinical and operational improvements

This is a genuine leadership position rather than simply a change in title. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the hospital operates clinically while continuing to practice medicine and build relationships with clients and patients.

Leadership & Professional Development
You'll receive dedicated support as you develop within the Medical Director position, making this an attractive opportunity both for established veterinary leaders and experienced clinicians ready to take the next step in their careers.

Support includes:
•Structured Medical Director development
•One-to-one leadership mentoring
•Continuing education opportunities
•Access to veterinary leadership resources
•Clinical and professional development programmes
