The Role
You will have the opportunity to build a varied caseload across small and large animals rather than being restricted to one area of practice.
•Provide medical care for companion animals, livestock, equine patients and select exotics
•Deliver comprehensive wellness and preventative care
•Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
•Provide same-day urgent care during business hours
•Participate in herd-health and large-animal medicine
•Perform routine and general surgical procedures
•Provide comprehensive dental care
•Develop surgical and orthopedic skills where desired
•Utilize digital radiography and ultrasound
•Utilize endoscopy and EKG where clinically appropriate
•Interpret on-site laboratory results
•Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans
•Educate clients on treatment options and preventative healthcare
•Work closely with experienced veterinary technicians
•Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
•Collaborate with fellow veterinarians on challenging cases
•Develop individual areas of clinical interest
The schedule is Monday through Friday, with the hospital closed on Saturdays and Sundays, providing an attractive balance for veterinarians who enjoy the variety of mixed-animal practice without regular weekend clinic hours.
