The Role
- Triage, stabilize, and manage emergency and critical patients in a 24/7 hospital
- Diagnose and treat urgent and complex medical conditions
- Perform or assist with emergency soft-tissue procedures as appropriate
- Utilize on-site imaging (digital radiography, CT, ultrasound) to guide case management
- Oversee ICU care with continuous monitoring, oxygen therapy, and transfusion support as needed
- Communicate clearly with pet owners and collaborate with referring veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to protocol development
- Work collaboratively with skilled technicians and assistants across services
- Participate in a schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice, or eligibility for licensure, in the state of Arizona
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous emergency experience or internship training preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and client communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity 24/7 environment
