An independent emergency veterinary hospital in San Antonio is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join its overnight emergency and critical care team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys managing emergency cases, performing soft-tissue surgery and working with a high degree of clinical autonomy. Previous emergency hospital experience is preferred, although experienced veterinarians from general practice with strong surgical skills will also be considered.

The Opportunity

Overnight shifts between 6 PM and 8 AM, with 13 nights per week available.
Competitive base salary of $130,000$160,000, depending on experience.
20% ProSal production compensation with no negative accrual.

Clinical Environment

Manage a varied caseload of emergency and critical care patients.
Perform soft-tissue surgery and emergency procedures appropriate to your experience.
Access digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics and intensive care facilities.
Work alongside experienced emergency veterinary technicians and an established emergency clinician with extensive clinical experience.
Enjoy the autonomy to make clinical decisions while delivering high-quality patient care.

What We're Looking For

DVM with an active Texas veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain one.
Previous veterinary experience; new graduates cannot be considered.
Confident soft-tissue surgical skills.
Emergency or urgent care experience preferred.
Comfortable managing cases independently as the sole Emergency Veterinarian on shift.
Availability for 13 overnight shifts weekly, including some weekend coverage.
Full-time availability preferred, although part-time arrangements may be considered.
