The Hospital

The Role
- Relief, part-time Emergency Veterinarian within a 24/7 specialty and ER hospital
- Provide triage, stabilization and treatment for urgent and critical cases
- Manage hospitalized patients in collaboration with critical care and specialty teams
- Utilize on-site imaging and ICU monitoring to guide diagnostics and therapy
- Perform common emergency procedures and minor surgical interventions as indicated
- Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians; maintain timely medical records
- Contribute to a positive, team-based culture and support the training of clinical staff
- Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays based on hospital needs

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Experience in emergency medicine or completion of a rotating internship preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and commitment to collaborative care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced ER setting with varied caseloads and schedules
