The Role
- Provide emergency and urgent care for companion animals, including triage, stabilization, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Utilize in-house diagnostics (lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy) to guide timely case management
- Perform procedures appropriate to emergency medicine and manage hospitalized patients through to discharge or transfer
- Collaborate with specialty and primary care teams; participate in case discussions and rounds
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about diagnoses, prognoses, and follow-up care
- Support a rotating schedule aligned with 24/7 operations, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Contribute to clinical protocols and quality standards; mentor team members as appropriate

Requirements
- DVM (or equivalent) with eligibility for licensure in British Columbia
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred; strong interest in ER required
- Skilled in triage, stabilization, and common emergency procedures; comfortable with fast-paced caseloads
- Excellent clinical judgement, teamwork, and client communication
- Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
