The Role
- Provide triage, stabilization, and comprehensive medical and surgical care for emergency cases
- Manage ICU patients with continuous monitoring and evidence-based protocols
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostics, including advanced imaging and in-house laboratory testing
- Collaborate closely with specialty services to develop thorough treatment plans
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and referring veterinarians
- Support a culture of learning through case rounds, mentorship, and teamwork
- Rotating schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent)
- License to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Eligibility for DEA registration
- Experience in emergency/critical care preferred; mentorship available for candidates with strong interest and drive
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
