The Role
- Perform comprehensive urgent care and emergency examinations, diagnostics, and medical workups
- Triage and manage a diverse caseload, coordinating care plans and timely interventions
- Conduct common emergency procedures and select surgeries, with access to surgical support
- Prescribe medications and maintain compliance with controlled substance protocols
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate medical records and participate in daily rounds
- Contribute to protocol refinement, quality standards, and collaborative workflow with hospital leadership
- Typical commitment of approximately 10-12 shifts per month with day, swing, and overnight options

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Eligible for, or holding, an active Washington veterinary license
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- 1+ year of emergency or urgent care experience preferred; strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-service abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring moderate physical activity
