Emergency Veterinarian

Global Talent Partners is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join an established 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving pets and their families in Frederick, MD

The Opportunity

You'll provide immediate, high-quality emergency care to dogs and cats, managing cases from initial triage and stabilization through diagnosis, treatment and ongoing hospitalization.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Emergency triage and critical patient assessment
•Diagnosing and treating urgent and complex cases
•Developing and overseeing individualized treatment plans
•Managing hospitalized patients
•Performing emergency procedures and surgeries
•Providing critical care and stabilization
•Working closely with veterinary technicians to deliver treatment plans
•Communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations
•Collaborating with specialists and referring veterinarians
•Maintaining a consistently high standard of patient and client care

The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing continuous emergency and specialty care to the surrounding region.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials, experience, skills and location.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a veterinarian who thrives in emergency medicine and enjoys the combination of rapid decision-making, critical care, surgery and collaborative case management.

You'll be confident assessing patients in high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent communication with both clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

•DVM, VMD or equivalent veterinary degree
•Active veterinary license in the state of employment and in good standing
•Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
•Previous emergency medicine experience or completion of a small animal rotating/emergency internship is highly recommended
