Emergency Veterinarian

Global Talent Partners is pleased to represent a leading 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital serving the greater Washington Metropolitan area, seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join its growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and wants access to strong mentorship, advanced training and a collaborative network of veterinary professionals.

The Opportunity

You'll provide immediate, high-quality care to sick and injured companion animals, managing cases from initial triage and assessment through diagnosis, treatment and discharge or ongoing hospitalization.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Rapid triage and critical patient assessment
•Diagnosing complex emergency cases
•Developing and overseeing treatment plans
•Managing hospitalized patients
•Performing emergency and soft-tissue surgeries
•Providing critical care and stabilization
•Working closely with experienced veterinary technicians
•Communicating clearly with clients during high-stress situations
•Collaborating with specialists and referring veterinarians
•Maintaining consistently high standards of patient and client care

The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing an important emergency resource to pets and their families throughout the greater Washington Metropolitan area.

Compensation will be negotiated according to experience, credentials, skills and location.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a confident veterinarian who enjoys the pace and clinical variety of emergency medicine and is committed to delivering excellent patient care during critical moments.

Requirements include:
•DVM, VMD or equivalent veterinary degree
•Active veterinary license in the state of employment and in good standing
•Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
•Emergency medicine experience or completion of a small animal rotating or emergency internship is highly recommended
