A privately owned, purpose-built emergency and specialty hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its Unicorn team in Colorado Springs, CO.

This is a genuinely collaborative ER environment built by people who wanted to do emergency medicine differently. The hospital was created after experiencing the frustrations of corporate practice and has been designed around high-quality medicine, strong support and treating people well. You'll work alongside experienced ER doctors and boarded specialists, with case rounds every morning so knowledge is shared across the team.

The hospital has an exceptional support structure, including dedicated technicians, a dedicated laboratory team, pharmacy support, floor managers and the opportunity to work alongside multiple doctors. The team invests heavily in its technicians, including paying above-market rates and supporting local veterinary technician education through scholarship programmes.

There is plenty of opportunity for veterinarians who enjoy surgery, with many ER doctors cutting their own cases and a highly experienced surgeon available for additional support or teaching. The hospital also has access to cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, radiology and surgery, including a double-boarded surgeon.

The hospital is equipped for high-acuity emergency medicine with 64-slice CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house laboratory diagnostics, advanced anaesthetic monitoring, ICU and high-flow oxygen. The result is a referral-level environment where you can investigate and treat complex cases in-house.

For all employed ER Vets, additional shifts are paid at 1.5x rate with production - Because we all know ER Drs love to take extra shifts!

Salary & Benefits

• $190,000-$225,000 take home (depending on schedule and experience)
• Additional shifts paid at 1.5x plus production earnings
• $3,000 CE allowance
