The Role
- Triage and manage urgent and emergency presentations for small animals, from initial assessment through stabilization, treatment and discharge.
- Utilize in-house diagnostics (radiography, ultrasound, laboratory testing, ECG) to drive timely, evidence-based care.
- Perform appropriate urgent care procedures and soft-tissue interventions; coordinate inpatient monitoring with ICU support when needed.
- Collaborate closely with primary care and internal medicine services; communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
- Contribute to protocol development, low-stress handling standards and a culture of safety.
- Scheduling within hospital urgent care hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; mix of daytime and early evening shifts with rotating weekends; full-time and part-time options available.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Washington
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Commitment to high-quality, low-stress, team-centered medicine; ER/urgent care experience welcomed, and new graduates are encouraged to apply
