The Role
- Provide emergency and urgent care medicine, including comprehensive exams and medical workups
- Perform and interpret diagnostics; manage anesthesia and analgesia as indicated
- Conduct emergency procedures and soft tissue surgery within scope and comfort level
- Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate pharmacy and controlled substance protocols
- Collaborate with doctors, credentialed technicians, and assistants across day, swing, and overnight teams
- Participate in daily rounds, monitor inpatients, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to hospital protocol refinement, training, and team efficiency

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active Maryland veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 1+ years of experience in emergency practice
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and teamwork skills; surgical and dental competency
- Authorization to work in the United States
