The Role
- Provide triage, stabilization and emergency care for small animal patients
- Manage ICU cases with advanced monitoring, ventilatory support and transfusion therapy as indicated
- Utilize on-site diagnostics, including radiography, ultrasound and advanced imaging when needed
- Collaborate with specialty services for complex case workups and perioperative support
- Perform and oversee common emergency procedures and anesthesia support for urgent cases
- Lead and direct credentialed technicians and support staff during shifts
- Communicate clearly with pet owners and maintain thorough medical records
- Relief-based scheduling with coverage needs that may include evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in New Hampshire (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Emergency and critical care experience preferred; comfort with high-acuity cases and a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, communication and client-service skills
- Availability for varied relief shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
