The Role
- Provide emergency and critical care for dogs and cats in a 24/7 referral environment.
- Triage, stabilize and manage high-acuity cases; perform and interpret in-house diagnostics and imaging.
- Execute common ER procedures and coordinate perioperative care in collaboration with surgery and critical care teams.
- Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians; maintain precise medical records.
- Participate in collaborative rounds, case reviews and ongoing professional development.
- Mix of swing and night shifts with some weekends; additional scheduling details provided during the interview process.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- License to practice in California (or eligibility to obtain).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- DEA registration (or eligibility) preferred.
- Experience in emergency medicine or completion of a rotating internship is advantageous.
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork and communication skills; comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
