We are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine and is interested in offering mentorship and clinical support to developing veterinarians.

This opportunity is based in a well-established small animal hospital in South Austin, Texas, with many years of service to the local community. The practice is known for its loyal client base, excellent standards of care, and supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Hospital

• Superb full-service small animal practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care.
• The hospital is fully equipped with:
• Dedicated surgery suite
• In-house digital radiology (x-ray)
• In-house diagnostic laboratory
• Dental suite and dental radiography
• Ultrasound capabilities
• Laser therapy
• Closely supervised hospitalization area
• Intensive care and isolation units

The Team

• Currently a 3-doctor team, with plans for continued growth
• Strong support with a 3:1 technician-to-doctor ratio
• Highly trained support staff focused on protecting doctor time
• Established appointment schedule available from day one

The Role

• This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys both clinical excellence and supporting others through mentorship.
• Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care
• Performing soft tissue surgery and advanced general practice procedures
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced veterinarians
• Managing preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment planning

Schedule & Hours

• Full-time position within hospital operating hours
• Monday Friday: 7:00 AM 6:00 PM
• No weekends!
• Flexible scheduling within hospital hours (4 x 10 hour shifts generally requested for full time)
• Part-time options may be considered depending on availability.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $120,000$160,000, depending on experience
• 20% production compensation with no negative accrual
• $30,000 welcome bonus
• 3 weeks of paid time off plus public holidays
