About the Medical Director Role:

The Medical Director (MD) works closely with the Hospital Director (HD) in a collaborative Dyad Model, providing leadership and oversight of both Emergency and Specialty services. In this role, you will:

Lead and direct the Medical Services team, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of doctors
Collaborate with the HD to manage hospital operations, improve patient care, and enhance team engagement
Oversee department workflows to ensure high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining efficient operations
Work with hospital leadership to manage financials, including the budget and expenses
Foster strong Referral Partner relationships and support team members in building those connections

Who You Are:

You have a proven track record of leadership, especially in times of change, transformation, and rapid growth
You bring 5-7 years of progressive experience in a veterinary organization
You can manage conflict with maturity and grace, even in highly emotional situations
You have experience as a board-certified veterinary specialist, emergency veterinarian, or in other leadership roles within the veterinary or animal health industry
