Veterinary Oncologist (Board Certified / Diplomate / Residency Trained)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a board-certified or residency-trained Oncologist to join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary animal hospital in Ottawa. This full-time permanent position offers a dynamic caseload, supportive team, and access to state-of-the-art facilities within a thriving specialty and emergency center.

Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

This hospital is one of Canada's most established and advanced veterinary referral centers. Operating out of a 24,500 sq ft facility, the hospital provides specialty services in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Neurology, Anesthesia, and Oncology, supported by a 24-hour Emergency Service.

The hospital is well-equipped with Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice CT, .25T Vet MR MRI, Pulsera Fluoroscopy unit, digital radiography, Philips ultrasound and echocardiogram, and Karl Storz endoscopy. In 2025, it will move into a new, 52,000 sq ft two-level facility with expanded specialty capabilities, including seven operating theaters and the latest in diagnostic imaging technologies.

Specialty services include Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Critical Care, Anesthesia, and Emergency Care.

Qualifications Required

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent, eligible for practice in Canada
  • Board certification (ACVIM) or residency-trained in Oncology
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO)
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
