Veterinary Internist

Are you a board-certified Internist, an experienced residency-trained Internist, or nearing the completion of your residency? If so, this position offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing Internal Medicine service at a leading emergency and specialty hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

This hospital operates 24/7 and is primed to expand specialty services, making it an ideal environment to build a thriving practice. The spacious, newly remodeled facility features expanded treatment areas, multiple exam rooms, a dedicated ICU with a feline-friendly ward, three surgical suites, multiple radiology suites, and on-site laboratory capabilities. Advanced imaging is supported by MedVet radiologists for seamless case
collaboration.

Departments

You will work alongside a dedicated Emergency team and collaborate with other specialty services as they grow, fostering a culture of exceptional care and teamwork.

Equipment

The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools, including:

  • CT imaging
  • Multiple radiology suites
  • Three fully equipped surgical suites
  • On-site laboratory and rapid diagnostics

Type of Individual Sought

Qualifications Required

  • ACVIM Internal Medicine certification or ECVIM certification, or residency-trained and eligible for certification
  • Current state veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA registration (or eligibility)
