Internal Medicine works alongside Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Emergency/Critical Care, supported by experienced technicians, ER liaisons, and client service professionals. The facility features on-site diagnostic imaging (including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and digital radiography), endoscopy, laparoscopy, surgical suites, an ICU with telemetry and oxygen support, and an in-house laboratory. Organized diagnostic workflows and strong communication with referring veterinarians are central to daily operations. The hospital also provides specialty patient transport via an animal ambulance service. The Role
- Deliver internal medicine consultations and manage complex cases for canine and feline patients
- Utilize advanced diagnostics and procedures, including ultrasound, CT/MRI interpretation, and endoscopy
- Collaborate with Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Emergency/Critical Care for comprehensive patient management
- Lead and participate in rounds; mentor interns, ER clinicians, and nursing teams
- Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to protocol development, quality improvement, and a culture of teaching and learning
- Full-time or part-time schedules available

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine (ACVIM or equivalent) or residency trained and board-eligible
- License to practice in Connecticut (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong communication, teamwork, and client-service skills
