The Role
- Provide emergency triage, stabilization, and ongoing inpatient/ICU management in a 24/7 setting
- Perform thorough medical workups, develop treatment plans, and complete appropriate diagnostics
- Utilize on-site imaging and in-house lab capabilities to support rapid decision-making
- Collaborate closely with specialty services (surgery, internal medicine, neurology, dermatology, interventional radiology, and critical care)
- Communicate clearly with pet owners and referring veterinarians, ensuring continuity of care
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to controlled substance protocols
- Participate in daily rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol development
- Contribute to a positive team culture, including mentoring of clinical support staff
- Flexible scheduling that may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays consistent with 24/7 operations

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or residency trained
- Eligible for or currently holding a New York veterinary license
- Eligible to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills suited to a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment
